SECU Foundation awarded EducationNC a grant in support of First Vote NC, a program which provides civics education and experiential learning through simulated voting experiences used in public high school classrooms across North Carolina. SECU Foundation funding will support technology expansion and educator outreach of this program over a three-year period. Through First Vote NC, students can learn about voter laws, the importance of elections, and the voting process through engaging non-partisan, participatory curriculum and conversations about leadership, North Carolina, and its future.
