Hertford County Teacher Housing – Hertford Pointe

Having been faced with the difficult task of recruiting and retaining teachers, Hertford County Public Schools decided to address a need for teacher housing in the area. Working with the Partners for Hertford County Public Schools Foundation, SECU Foundation provided an interest free loan to fund the construction of a 24-unit apartment complex to assist in the recruitment and retention of highly qualified teachers in Hertford County. The apartment complex, Hertford Pointe, is located in Ahoskie and provides a safe and affordable housing product for prospective teachers in the area.
