Homeward Bound

SECU Foundation awarded a $500,000 grant to Homeward Bound, a Buncombe County non-profit serving the homeless population in the Asheville area since 1988. The grant supports the renovation of a vacant hotel to a permanent supportive housing complex for individuals experiencing homelessness in Western North Carolina. The remodeled campus will offer 85 studio apartments, administrative office space, medical clinic, activities room, peer-support living room, kitchen and dining area, and laundry area.
