James Street Group Living Dormitories TROSA - Durham County
Approved by Board of Directors: July 2010
SECU Foundation partnered with the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) to help build the James Street Group Living Dormitories by providing a zero percent construction loan for the project. The facility serves as transitional housing for individuals recovering from substance abuse. Sponsored by the Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers (TROSA), the project included two new 13-bedroom dormitory buildings located on a 12.5 acre campus in southwest Durham. The dormitories will accommodate up to 150 enrolled participants (up to 75 per building) in a safe, supportive, and drug-free environment.
