Lumberton Christian Care

SECU Foundation partnered with the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) to support the construction of a new facility for Lumberton Christian Care by providing a zero percent construction loan for the project. Before relocating to Second Street, Lumberton Christian Care operated out of the former Goodyear Hotel on First Street, a building that outlived its capacity to meet the needs of the community. The Lumberton Christian Care Center serves the area’s homeless population and lower income residents by providing meals, emergency and transitional housing, and classes for employment opportunities.
