Pathway to Practice NC is a collaboration between the College of Education at North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Education to address North Carolina’s teaching shortage through a competency-based approach with alternative licensure for lateral entry teachers. SECU Foundation awarded a grant in support of Pathway to Practice NC to create training modules in this self-paced, online licensure program to allow individuals with a residency license to work towards specialized licensures in either elementary education or special education.
