SECU Youth Crisis Center, A Monarch Program

SECU Foundation awarded Monarch a grant to assist in the construction of a facility-based mental health crisis center for children and adolescents in Charlotte, North Carolina. The SECU Youth Crisis Center opened its doors in January 2018 and enables children and youth in need of inpatient psychiatric assessment and treatment beyond the capacity of emergency departments to receive inpatient services and treatment locally. This 16-bed facility provides separate wings for children ages 6-12 and teens ages 13-17, and has the capacity to serve 600 young patients annually.
The SECU Youth Crisis Center is located at 1810 Back Creek Drive in Charlotte.
